Unwritten Rules of Football
1. Never forget to wear wrap on your ankles
2. Don’t talk stuff to other players to cause a fight
3. Don’t get on the QB’s nerves and call his name to throw throw the ball to you
4.Throw the ball with a 2 step drop back
Never Forget to Wrap your Ankles
You always have to wrap your ankles because when you are running and you try to juke to the side. Your ankle will probably twist and then you can sprain it, fracture it, maybe even break it. That’s why every player should wrap their ankles cause then an accident will happen and your football career might be over it might not depending on what happened to it. Like a couple of years ago I was playing with my brothers and my uncles just messing around and I don’t care if its just a little game I will always wrap my ankles. I had an extra roll and I asked my brother if he wanted to use it but he said no. So he didn’t use and sure enough 10 minutes into the game he messed up his ankle. because he didn’t wrap his ankle like I said. The wrap helps your ankle stay stiff and then you have a better chance of keeping your ankle safe.
Don't talk stuff to the other players to cause a fight
It is very dumb that people try to start fights in a football game to make them look good. Like one time at my brothers football game one of his teammates got into the face of one of the players on the other team. When they started arguing they started to cause a whole scene and the player from my brothers team threw a punch at him and it caused a whole thing bringing the whole teams out and make them start to fight. That's why it is very dumb when people from the teams try to start fights with the other team. It makes it look like there coach doesn't know how to handle his team. Plus when you start a fight then after that game the coach tells you straight up in the face that get out of here you are no longer a remember of this team.
Don't get on the QB's nerves a yell out his name to throw the ball at you
When the quarterback calls the play and he tells you who he is going to throw the ball to. Then he is going to throw throw the ball to that person unless he isn't open and the QB throws it to someone else but it is very rare that it happens during the game. If the quarterback decides to throw it to you then make sure that you are looking at him at all times because if he doesn't see that the receiver isn't open then he will throw it to the person that is open. Out of all the times I have played with my brothers I have never called out his name well maybe a couple of times but not as much as all the other people do. So just a heads up don't ever call out a QB's name because it will get on his nerves.
Throw the ball with a 2 step drop back
When the quarterback hikes the ball then he takes a 2 step drop back so he could throw the ball. It is good to throw the ball after the drop back because it gives u more balance and accuracy. When he doesn't then there is a good chance he will not throw the ball all that good he might throw it well but most of the time they won't. That's why its a good thing to take the drop back so he could get that good drop back and throw a clean spiral for a TOUCHDOWN. One of my personal experiences was when me and my brothers were playing football in my alley and I was open. my brother threw it to me but what he didn't do was the 2 step drop back and he wasted a good play on a sloppy pass all because he forgot the drop back. when the next play came it was 4th down and he was like 'Andrew go up 15 steps and then cut to the left' and I said ok. Sure enough I did the play he got the drop back and he threw me a good clean touchdown pass that won the game for us. We celebrated with some chips but remember when you are playing to do the drop back because it will come in handy.
So this is what my unwritten rules of football are. #1 make sure that your ankles are wrapped because it may lead to an injury. #2 don't talk stuff to the other players to start a fight after that game is over then the coach will be very disappointed in you and tell you that you are no longer a member of this team. Then he will probably tell you right after he is done yelling at you get out of my field and my locker room. #3 don't get on the QB’s nerves and yell out his name to throw the ball to you. When he calls out the play and says I'm throwing it to this person then he is throwing it to that person. Unless that receiver isn't open then the quarterback could throw it to you most of the time you have to actually get rid of the blocker meaning out run him then he will throw it to you. #4 make sure you do the 2 step drop back when you are getting in position to throw the ball.most of the times when the quarterback doesn't throw it with that drop back then he will throw it off or too high maybe too low. That's why it is a good thing to do the 2 step drop back to get better in position of throwing the ball.
